VegAssess is a custom-built field app designed to assist ecologists efficiently collect, manage and present ecological field data.
VQA Assessments (Habitat Hectares)
Designed specifically for completing VQA assessments in Victoria, VegAssess includes:
- Inbuilt EVC benchmarks and species lists
- Dynamic drop-down lists containing species and categories
- Auto-calculation of scores, including present and modified scores for lifeforms, and totals such as woody species numbers for recruitment
- VQA data export reports in PDF and CSV formats
- Species export reports in CSV (compatible with Victorian Biodiversity Atlas submission requirements)


BAM Assessment Method (BAM) Plots
Designed specifically for completing BAM plot assessments in New South Wales, VegAssess includes:
- Inbuilt PCT benchmarks and species lists
- Dynamic drop-down lists containing species and categories
- Auto-calculation of cover and count sums
- Data export into the BAM calculator template (CSV)
Species Lists and Quadrat Data
VegAssess also allows users to record simple species lists, including cover and count for use in quadrats or plots.
Includes inbuilt species lists for Victoria and New South Wales and exports as per relevant state data submission standards.
